Da Count....and random thoughts....

So I'm helping my dad string cat5 yesterday to get his DSL up and running. Turn of a screwdriver here....snip of a wire there. He actually made it easy, pre drilled the access points, all I really had to do was punch down and splice some wire...help him fish it through......we were good. In less than 2 hours....he had a hard hitting DSL signal to his main PC and a decent wifi signal to his laptop in the living room. It felt good. All we have to do now is secure his wireless and tweak some machines....he'll be a wifi/dsl hardwire guru king....and likely use it surfing porn...which I approve of.:) Today.....I count having family that are there for me. Today.....I count having the resources to get through this. Today.....I count some peace of mind and my quiet place. Today.....I count deciding getting off my ass and getting my certs a good decision. Today, I will start the process....A+ and Network+ certs, I've been treading water long enough......time for this fish to swim....:) Take care goofs and friends!! :)
