Political rant, and just a bit pissy.........

While I try to make it a rarity, sometimes my politics come through on here. Ordinarily, I'd apologize, but it's my f*cking blog, so deal with it or read elsewhere. Many of you may be aware of a 9/11 movie ABC was going to air here in the states. If your not aware, it's a "docudrama" commemorating the 5-year anniversary of that terrible day. As a "docudrama", it takes some creative license, but is largely based on our own governments 9/11 commission reports. By ABC's own statements...it's a movie, not a documentary. ABC even made the bold move to air this without commercials, so as not to put advertisers in an awkward position. Neither the current Bush administration or the prior Clinton administration really come out looking good in the uncut version of this movie. That said, at the end, it's the terrorists that are the bad guys. What pisses me off is the Clinton camp applying pressure on ABC (Owned by Disney) to either edit offending scenes, or pull the movie all together. Cease and desist letters actually being sent by ex-officials, actually reminding them they operate under an FCC license that could be pulled. How dare somebody imply president Hillary or her hubby were atleast as lax and bumbling as many say the Bush camp is today??? I'm not here to say everything Bush has done is right, nor am I here to damn the Clintons as everything them wrong, but WTF??? Where was the moral outrage over Fahrenheit 911? Michael Moore spun more bullshit into that piece of hate fluff than any could imagine. So ABC suffers the heat for doing a cardinal sin in this country. Expressing, maybe the Clintons screwed up too. I'm going to try very hard to find an uncut version of this movie, and compare it to the "re-edited" version ABC caved to take note. This is America DAMNIT!!!!
